Job Summary:
The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic pricing models for our products, with a focus on managing import costs, tariffs, supply chain expenses (including shipping containers), and developing IMAP (Internet Minimum Advertised Price) strategies. This position requires an understanding of global supply chains, including factors such as currency fluctuations, customs duties, and logistics costs. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with the finance, sales, product management and supply chain teams to ensure that pricing strategies support business objectives and maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate various cost components, including product costs, shipping containers, tariffs, customs duties, and currency exchange rates, to create accurate and competitive pricing models
- Stay informed on global trade policies, tariff changes, and shipping cost fluctuations that may affect product pricing and supply chain costs
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to assess and incorporate shipping container costs, logistics expenses, and other related supply chain factors into the pricing strategy
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform pricing decisions and ensure competitiveness in both domestic and international markets
- Work closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to monitor and adjust pricing based on fluctuations in import costs, shipping charges, and other external variables
- Provide pricing recommendations for sales teams, bids, contracts, and new product launches
- Maintain and update price sheets and systems, ensuring that all pricing information is accurate and accessible across departments
- Generate regular reports on pricing trends, margin analysis, supply chain cost impacts, and competitor activities for senior management
- Monitor and adjust pricing in response to changes in the market, product cost variations, and any new duties or tariffs imposed on products
- Ensure pricing strategies comply with company policies, industry regulations, and international trade laws
- Support forecasting and budgeting efforts by providing detailed pricing insights for planning and strategy development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing analysis, particularly with a focus on international trade, import/export, or manufacturing sectors
- Strong understanding of global supply chains, including shipping costs, container expenses, tariffs, customs duties, and other costs related to product importation
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis tools
- Ability to analyze complex data, assess cost structures, and provide actionable pricing recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, finance, and supply chain teams

- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pricing software; experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a constantly changing market and adjusting pricing strategies as needed
